We are a family friendly 4wd club and welcome anyone who shares in our passion for 4wding & the outdoors.
Welcome to the Rum City Offroaders 4WD Club. Our family orientated club was established in December of 2007 and continues to grow and evolve. The club’s goal is to create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere with four wheel driving being the focus.
The Rum City Offroaders 4WD Club was founded by a small group of families with an intention to have an association that the whole family could become involved in. Families with young children to grandparents and every age in between are most welcome to attend club meetings, drives and camps.
The club endeavours to hold a trip or event each month in the local area.. The club aims to have a variety of trips on the calendar including day trips, weekend camps, big adventures or just scenic drives.
There is a broad cross section of vehicles in the club. There are some reasonably modified vehicles to tackle any type of terrain. There are also standard vehicles with members interested in Easy/Scenic drives. The trips are rated, allowing members to decide if the trip is suitable for their experience. Trip coordinators will do their best to organise tracks to meet all abilities and expectations.
The Rum City Offroaders Club like to attend events held by Four Wheel Drive Queensland, the state association. Some events include the annual Fraser Island Clean Up and the annual Country Meet which is held at different Queensland locations each year. These events provide a great opportunity to meet like minded people from all over the state. The club also enjoys attending events associated with winch challenges. These events show a high degree of 4WD ability and continue to
gain in popularity with competitors and spectators alike.
Our club is family friendly and welcomes anyone who shares in our passion for four wheel driving. We try to keep the formalities to a minimum with a goal of enjoying 4wding, the outdoors and the company of our fellow club members. We take care with the environment and value the unique locations that Queensland has to offer.
If you would like to be part of this club you are welcome to attend our monthly meeting or join us on a drive. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7pm at the back hall of the Church of Christ at 24 Sims Road Bundaberg. Membership fees are $60 per family per year and a drive is only $2.00 for each vehicle participating. A visitor’s first drive is free of charge.
